What's included?

There are no participation fees to take part in the winter school. We cover and organize lunch and coffee breaks on the two main days. Accommodation, travel expenses, and dinner have to be covered by the participants. For convenience, we have blocked 15 single rooms in the nearest Hotel 7THINGS and 10 single rooms in Hotel Munte am Stadtwald as a call-off contingent (see below regarding more information of the Hotels). The price per single room/night in the 7THINGS Hotel is € 85.63 including breakfast and city tax and in the Hotel Munte € 125.85 including breakfast and city tax. You can book the rooms yourself until 8 October 2024 using the keyword "CLIMADEMY winter school", preferably by sending an email directly to one of the Hotels mentioned. You will then receive a confirmation directly from the Hotel. For the optional excursion on the 6th of December, we will organize and cover the means of transportation.

How to get to the venue?

The venue is located on the campus of the University of Bremen. On the aerial overview all locations are marked by color. To arrive on campus just take the tram line 6 towards Universität. It starts at the airport and runs by the main station so arrival via train and plane are simple. Note, that the tram line does not go all night.

Optional excursion on Friday (6. December)

We will offer an excursion for those interested to the Klimahaus (German for climate house) in Bremerhaven. You will explore the Earth's climate zones by travelling along the 8th degree of longitude (where Bremerhaven is located). Each section of the exhibition represents a different climate zone, providing an immersive experience from authentic landscapes, over temperatures to sounds typical of each region. With its exhibition it does not only serve as an educational facility but also raises awareness about environmental issues.
